About the Conference

You’re invited to our annual Global Outreach Conference! Our focus this year is on culture. Because God has called the Church to take the Gospel cross-culturally, we must be informed on the topic of culture. How we view culture will impact how we communicate the Gospel, and it will have a large impact on what we believe recipients of the Gospel message should do. This conference will help us grow in how we support Sunset’s Global Partners who are serving around the world, and it will help us sharpen ourselves as participants in God’s Global Mission, including our local opportunities.

Dates: October 4 & 5, 2024
Friday – 5:30pm – 8:30pm (dinner starts at 6, doors open at 5:30pm)
Saturday – 8:30am – 11:30am
Cost: $10 per person (includes dinner Friday night)
Childcare: Infant through 4 years old

About Our Speaker

Our speaker this year is Nate Scholz, author of Coffee & Orange Blossoms: 7 Years & 15 Days in Tyre, Lebanon. Nate spent 7 years in Lebanon as an English teacher and Hope Broker from 1999 to 2006 with Frontiers. He and his team worked with Muslim Background Followers of Jesus. Now there is a budding people movement in South Lebanon. After being evacuated from Lebanon during the 33-Day War of 2006, he began helping churches in the northwest 5 states overcome their fears and led a team of 10, who mobilized over 85 new cross-cultural workers to go to the hardest places in the world. Nate has served in a number of network leadership roles. In 2024, he joined Frontier Ventures as an Innovation Associate in the Ralph Winter Launch Lab.
