About Us

We have been blessed to live in the Tacoma, WA area for the past 20 years and be part of Sunset Bible Church. Tyler served vocationally as a pastor at Sunset for 14 years before joining Perspectives USA as the NW Regional Director. Karen leads the Better English in Tacoma ministry. Both of our roles are mission-support positions and Sunset serves us by handling our donor services.

Perspectives USA

The mission of Perspectives is to mobilize by educating the Body of Christ in the USA to strategic engagement in God’s global purpose. Karen and Tyler both serve as instructors and Tyler serves as the Regional Director for the Coastal & Inland Northwest Regions (WA, OR, ID, MT, AK)

Partnership with Perspectives typically starts by taking the Perspectives class. You can see if there is a class being offered near you, or you can take Perspectives online. Find classes here!

Perspectives classes are run primarily by volunteer coordinating teams. Serving on a team is a great way to partner with us. If there are not classes in your area, consider organizing an area prayer team. Contact Tyler for more info.

Better English Tacoma

Better English in Tacoma ministers to international friends in the Tacoma area and around the world through various conversational English opportunities, friendship, and Discovery Bible Studies. Karen serves as a coordinator and trainer for Better English in Tacoma. If you can speak English, you are already qualified to participate in this ministry! Check out our website!

Become a Tutor
Participate in one of local classes (hosted in churches) or join one of our online Zoom classes. Being a tutor is an easy way to plug in.

Become a Conversation Partner
We pair international friends with native English speakers to meet once a week for conversation. Partners choose the day, time & location. Some of our partners meet online.

Facilitate a Discovery Bible Study (DBS)
Introduce international friends to the Bible while also helping with English comprehension and pronunciation.

Prayer Partnership

We are always being reminded that our ministry success is a result of God’s provision – especially through the prayers of His people. We deeply value having a committed team of people praying with and for us.

AND we want to pray for you! We invite each of our partners to share prayer requests and praises with us.

Financial Partnership

All employees with Perspectives have a third party handled their gift services and employment. In our case, we are blessed to have these things provided by Sunset Bible Church.. Sunset is a registered 501(c)3, and all gifts are tax deductible. Sunset can receive financial gifts in a number of ways.

One-time vs Recurring Gifts
All gifts go to our ministry fund and are a great blessing to us. Recurring gifts provide an extra benefit in the fact that they count toward our support goal (this determines whether we are fully funded). Recurring gifts include monthly, quarterly, or annual gifts.

Give Online
Sunset’s online giving portal accepts Credit/Debit & ACH Transfers and can used for one-time or recurring giving. The following link will connect you directly with our fund. Give Online Here.

Give via Check
Checks can be made out to Sunset Bible Church and designated “Tyler Pease” in the memo. Send checks to: Sunset Bible Church, PO Box 64246, University Place, WA 98464.

Give via Bill Pay
Add Sunset Bible Church as a payee, using the mailing address: PO Box 64246, University Place, WA 98464. If it asks for an account number, you can put anything there (e.g. “giving”).
Please specify TYLER PEASE in the MEMO.
